Hi All

Introduce yourself here!

Hi All

Postby LightningMk6 » Sun Mar 06, 2011 5:42 pm

Have just stumbled on this site whilst surfing the net. First thing I saw when looking around was the Lightning and that was good enough for me. Am an ex Binbrook 5 Sqdn and LTF aircraft electrician having spent 6 of my best years on Lightnings.

Welcome aboard L Mk6

Do you have any photos of your time with the BEST interceptor we ever had? :-o

Thanks for the welcome guys, there are some photos and memorabilia on my website. I currently help out on occasion at Bruntingthorpe when time allows, also as a hobby of mine, have just re-written the Lightning Association website which needed a bit of updating.
Looking forward to having a good look round your site.

Dave I have just finished looking at your website and in particular the LPG Brunty 50th bash photos. We must have been stood very near each other as some of your shots are very similar to mine. Are you also on 'The Wall of Fame'?

It is also very sad to see the photos of Binbrook on the LA's website. That place has so many good memories for me, especially CG3. A favourite place of mine where some really Iconic Aircraft were captured. ;)

No, am not on the wall of fame, tend to keep in the background, helping out when I can, last job was a No2 Engine pull and will probably get back to Brunty soon for some more of the same. Hope you enjoyed the 50th Anniversary, was a great occasion and so many people attended.
