The son of a Brylcream boy I've been around the Uk and the world, my dad joined the RAF in 1943,sent to Burma, after the war I finally came on the scene in 1952, my dad worked on the classic's as I call them Lincoln's,Hampden's,Dakota's & then Venoms, I know this from his photos. he died in 1960 (big C) .

My mum packed me off to RAF benevolent school in Greenwich London (Vanburgh Castle). tough times there made a man of me. during this time my mum met another Brylcream boy, another great bloke who was stationed throughout Linolnshire/South Yorkshire in particular.

It was in these times I got the Vulan bug, my step dad was an airframe fitter mainly with bomber command, he actually smuggled me on Cottesmore & into one the "mighty Planes" since then I've been hooked.

Now nearing 60 I enjoy reading & viewing aircraft, so hear I am "stalking XM603" in particular.
Ray.
PS sorry about the spelling.

Welcome, Ray!

We've been looking for a second Ray
for quite a while now, and you look
to be a perfect fit! :D

It would be great to hear more about
you getting smuggled into Cottesmore
by your stepdad....

Sounds like an ADVENTURE!!!
