Afternool all

Just a note to introduce myself I live in the Scottish Borders high up in the southern uplands and underneath the Borders LFA and north of Spadeadam. Main interests are RAF, RN/FAA RFC, RNAS history and aircrew and thier arircraft with a local connection and aircraft photography. Heavily involved with the local ATC squadron and basically retired. Have several thousand 35mm slides and pics going back to early 70s but given up collecting since the demise of K25 & K64 now use a Nikon Digital big and heavy and only understand about 5% of the user manual! Taken up modelling since christmas after son & daughter gave me a Heritage DH Chipmunk T10 and trying to replicate the a/c of my first flight at 12 AEF mid 60s - first build in 40 years.

Loking forward to some dicussions but will never claim to be an expert in anything I'm merely an enthusiastic bystander.
Regards
Frank

Afternoon folks

Many thanks for the welcome I am starting to scan my slides and yes i can post some just need to figure out how to do it !
Stories - broke an HAF/BBMF Spitfire at Leeming as a cadet, arrested at Carlise for photographing a Hunter gate guard didn't have camaera with me at Gutersloh and Wildenrath in 67, six hours in a Nimrod from Kinloss in 2007? including firewarning lights in the weapons bay when there was a hydraulic leak crew considered landing with the bay doors open! Fairy quiet life really

Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
