Bittern

Postby Mayfly » Wed Dec 31, 2014 3:28 pm

I saw Bittern in Lincoln sidings yesterday apparently on the last trip before an extensive rebuild.

I knew she was calling in but didn't expect to be in Lincoln at the right time and didn't have my camera.

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Are you saying Pam that you don't carry a phone which has a camera :p :-o

You must be the only person in Britain who doesn't have a potential camera with them at all times for such eventualities ;) :ymblushing:

Yes Her boiler cert is no longer fit for main line use. She will run for another year on the Watercress Line before a major overhaul.... She is owned by Jeremy Hoskins who owns a fair few Loco's

Saw Bittern In Rugby last month, along with the Duchess of Sutherland, both beautiful machines in there own right.
