Battle of Britain Pilot Maurice Mounsdon RIP

Maurice Mounsdon, one of the last surviving pilots of 'The Few' died today, aged 101:

Only three Battle of Britain Pilots now remain (Flt Lt William Clark, 100; Wing Commander Paul Farnes, 101; and Flying Officer John Hemingway, 100) as mentioned in the above BBC Report.

Sadly, since posting the above, we have lost two further members of the 'Battle of Britain' RAF Aircrew:

- Wing Commander Paul Farnes died on 28th January 2020, aged 101:

- Flight Lieutenant William ('Terry') Clarke died on 7th May 2020, also aged 101, the day before the 75th Anniversary of VE Day (Friday 8th May):

This now leaves just one surviving 'Battle of Britain' RAF Veteran of 'The Few':

Flying Officer John ('Paddy') Hemingway (101).

This year, September will mark the 80th Anniversary of the end of the 'Battle of Britain'.
