Who needs F-15's !!

Postby Hydealfred » Mon Apr 23, 2012 11:07 pm

So heres the story - I went to St Ives (Cornwall) over the weekend. On Friday much sound of jets over the Bay but no sight as low cloud. But then I heard the jets coming down to lower altitude. I glanced out of the B&B window and there is an F-15 just disappearing round the headland at very low level. So quick dash out onto the coast path to catch the next one - but no more F-15's - so as I waited I took some shots of other aerial subjects !!!!

Agree there Dan - the gulls terrorise the holidaymakers on the sea front at St Ives by stealing their pasties and ice creams.

Sea Gulls have the distiction of being the
very first federally-protected species here
in the USA over 100 years ago....

They were nearly wiped-out by the mattress
industry which snared and netted them by
the thousands to be used as stuffing for
pillows and mattresses!

Now we have far too many of them :D
