In memoriam RoAF MiG-23 Flogger.Sad times for the Romanian Floggers,mostly of them was cut off from the RoAF inventory recently.An old photo with MiG-23UB "137" who was taken in june 1991 after the show - Baneasa Airport,Bucharest with lots of admirers around him.

An old photo with a MiG-21C(Cercetare - in romanian) is in fact R from reconnaissance,here in a mission.Unfortunately the "2023" was scrapped.

Old photo with MiG-21M "809" when he was operational,sometimes in the 80's.Also he was scrapped too,i think in 2004.

I was present in 1991 when this MiG-29UB Fulcrum "15" was photographed to an Airshow at Baneasa Airport,Bucharest.The Fulcrum wasn't too old in RoAF,only 2 years.It was a hot and beautiful day:MiG-21,MiG-23,MiG-29,IAR-93,IAR-99 and so on and on.Too bad is that i don't have so much pictures from the event.

MiG-29 Sniper(upgrade version for romanians Fulcrums) "67" in test flights.Now he is in a museum of aviation.

Mil Mi-8T "718" from Romanian Air Force(RoAF),in a training flight.Now this helicopter is withdrawn from service.The photo is from MAv.Bucharest collection.

If you want to see an old movie about Aviation Day in Romania from 1955.Only that the language in the movie is romanian.But you will see the first fighter jets from RoAF:Iak-23 and MiG-15.

Now an old movie with romanian built I.A.R-80,in service with Royal Romanian Air Force(Fortele Aeriene Regale Romane).In its time of appearance was in top five best fighters.Hope you like it!

I think IAR-80 is a beautiful plane and not because it was made by romanians.Sadly we don't have an original one.In MAv. Bucharest we have an IAR-80 replica,and is not flyable.Dan i'm glad that you like the video and thank you for the comments.

2 photos with IAR-317 Airfox who derived from IAR-316B (Alouette III).First photo was made at Le Bourget 1985 with reg. "01" and "290" exhibit reg. and the second photo is from the flight testing.

A beautiful photo with 2 MiG's 23 from RoAF in take off,using reheat.The photo was made by Chris Lofting in august 2001 at RoIAS(Romanian International Air Show).
