Very nice, are these with your new lens?

I wish we had a few different birds up here we have the usual suspects like those in your second posting tho' we have numerous buzzards around here now where as 3-4 years ago you never saw any.
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Thanks Pam,these were taken with my old Canon400mmL ,still a super lens,my new lens is more for landscapes and general pics!
It's been difficult to photograph any different or interesting birds cos of this atrocious weather, all the paths and fields down here are just ridiculous, you daren't stand in one place for more than a few minutes cos you find yourself sinking :)

like the Robin in the second set.................... :D

well detailed and captured, the L series from Canon has a well deserved reputation for quality images :ymapplause:

2 nice sets- I like the nuthatch the best , partly because I have yet to get a photo of one and I'm very envyous.

Where did you take them (especially the nuthatch((?

I've started to get a lot of goldfinches in my garden over the last 2 weeks, I guess the natural food is finally starting to run out even though winter should soon be over.

Thanks,it took me a lot of time to get a decent Nuthatch this one was taken in a wood near Chiddingstone-Kent .
Think you hit the nail on the head regarding garden birds,we see more as the natural food supply runs out !
