I finally chopped in my EOS350D...

...and upgraded to a 40D. I got a good deal, actually. I sold my 350 for £175. Picked up a 40 with a battery grip, 2 batteries and a 4gb memory card for £200. It's spotless, too. Shutter count of 9,100. Previous owner used it for a wedding and a couple of holidays, that's it!

After a very long and drawn out consideration I finally settled on a Canon 7D,reading reviews on various forums makes your head spin after a bit,doesn't it ? but this one seems to fit the bill,I never make snap decisions

The 40 is SUCH a step up from the 350!

I did some photos of a friend's 40th. Some random woman has told me they're better than her wedding photos!

Not sure what firmware your camera will ship wih if new, make sure you update if below version 2.0.x. This will add much improved performance.

Well I was vaguely aware that there was a firmware update but wasn't actually sure what it was all about Anyway it came with firmware 2'03 installed and seems to be built like a brick !
