New Lens

Postby Gaz » Tue Jul 30, 2013 3:36 pm

Just taken delivery of the Canon 300mm f4 USM L prime lens.

Bit early to say what it's like, but, had a bit of a play with it in the garden and it seems to be a goodun!

Great, let me know how you get on with it cos I'm thinking about trading in my 400mmL for the 300 ! two reasons -
1-Don't like the fact that the f5.6 needs good light to get the best out of it ,or I have to bump up the iso which is not good on the Canon7D
2-I fancy having I.S and I can use my 1'4 converter if I need extra reach !

Shot from the hip for this one, no changes made to the current camera settings

I THINK it was 1/500, F5.6, iso 100, AWB

Great airshow lens, I have the Nikon equivalent, wouldn't do without mine. Enjoy and have fun.

It's lovely and, at £501.86, a relative bargain
