Picked up at a retro/vintage market today for £20, the camera is a 1963 Minolta Hi Matic 7 rangefinder in near perfect condition with a leather case. It belonged to a the sellers husband who died from parkinsons, and she was thrilled to hear it was going to someone who would use it :D Whilst testing and inspecting the camera I found there was a film canister in there, which may or may not have photos on - although there were bends in the film which suggested it could have been shot then wound back so I have decided to get developed, hopefully it wont be a waste of a roll of film. I can't wait to try out the camera though...

Being a 'yoof', he's probably still struggling to find out where the USB socket is on his new purchase B-)

Very funny ;) Have shot a roll with it now, a 24 exp just to test if it works, although I have my doubts as to if there will be anything on the film since I had trouble winding it back into the canister - although I am sure the camera works and functions perfectly.

The film I had with it had been exposed to light. The negatives came back black all over, so nothing interesting to report there.
If no one minds I'll make this my analog photography thread where I'll stick up pictures every time I get some developed, got the aforementioned roll and a 36 exp B&W roll away at the moment :)

I do wonder how long it will be before they stop developing 35mm film.
How much does it cost these days?

Well, I have the film back... and that's £9:00 completely wasted! Got to the second exposure where the film came out of the spool and every single photo I took of a 10K run my mum was running in is all on the same piece of film (the negative is black... basically.) :(

Now you know why digital is sooooooooooooooo popular. ;)
Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.
