All these were taken at Abingdons Air and Country show at the start of the month , sorry for the delay but life happened .

Radar/Radio antenna Mount ?

Sad sight all these derelict airfields - make you think about what you had but didn't realise :(

Thanks for posting,I have very fond memories of Airshows at Abingdon,some of the most memorable shows that I remember from the early 80s were there,still have a couple of programs knocking around !
Take only photographs,leave only footprints .

That first picture, there's one almost exactly like it at Swinderby and it was a radar base so I'd assume so here too.
Although for some odd reason this, was the only photo I took of it...

I always have mixed emotions with these sites, on one hand I LOVE looking at the photos (especially as I'll probably never visit myself), but then on the other hand I feel sad at the state of some of them.
