Heres a few of my pics from a 3 hour wander around the old Airfield now nature reserve today , surprised so much has survived when so much has been destroyed .

A thing , a few of these were aound [some near in situ concrete showing that they did originally stand this high] but I don't know what they are .

Cruise Missile Bunkers , 96 Nuclear tipped Tommahawks were kept in here .

It looks like a bomb , but I think its a Sonar thing they drag behind boats when doing underwater surveys .

I went there last year with a guided walk. Found it difficult to spot things without being told.

Great post mate, i remember greenham when they were shipping the cruise missles out of there.

Sad to see it like that but time moves on.. :) :) :)

Thanks all , a few more Greenham related but from Duxford today .

Transporter Erector Launcher [TEL] of the type at Greenham , 6 per bunker of which there were 6 bunkers .

BGM-109G Gryphon [Official designation of the ground launched version of the AGM-109 Tomahawk] , again the type at Greenham [ 4 per TEL] .

The GAMA area looks pretty cool, have seen a few pictures from inside it too!
