Just caught up with this after
almost two months.......

Note to MOD::::::::::

I see no evidence of Wing Separation :D

Things seem to be going well, with

One thing it would be nice to have is
an in-cockpit video so we could hear
the flight crew counting off all the
numbers of the routine, etc.

Just seen an amusing photo of 787`s lined up at Ellis Field
minus engines it would seem
Presumably Boeing want to see the money in the bank prior
to delivery

Thanks, Delhud!

I've looked into this, and the answer is
quite simple::::::::

The Dreamliner is available with either
Rolls Royce or General Electric engines.....

No troubles with the RR ones, but the
ones from GE had some minor issues
needing rectification. Consequently, the
787 production line got ahead of engine
supply -- hence the otherwise completed
aircraft patiently awaiting DONKS :p

I'm not surprised that GE had "issues" ~ the fan casings appear to be square ?? :-? :-P :))

I think the FAA is doing exactly what
your CAA would do and are exercising
prudence and caution.....

Things will be better for it in the long
run I am sure :)

Airlines in India, Chile and US have now grounded the Dreamliner,

Boeing say the aircraft are fundamentally safe which I don't doubt but it's the public who buy the tickets and they need to be sure too.

So do the airlines. It could damage their reputations, and if they were thinking of buying the Dreamliner they may think of going for the A330 as it is proven.

The current focus of attention seems to be the Lithium-ion L-ion battery setup! :-o

Latest news was a bit vague but it said most of the airlines operating the Dreamliner have now grounded them.

So tempted not to answer

"Before further flight, operators of U.S.-registered, Boeing 787 aircraft must demonstrate to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that the batteries are safe,"
