As I had gone to Birmingham BHX to see the first ever Dreamliner land there I thought I would stick around for its Departure. She landed bang on time at 1800 and was due out at 2130 so I had a few hours watching the arrivals and departures. As it turned out the Dreamliner did not depart until 2230 and it was dark by that time and I do not have the skills to shot at night so I used my Video cam for the departure but here are some of my efforts not sure if they are any good or not but here goes. There was also an amazing sunset over the Airport as the weather was hot and clear blue skies.
So first a few general shots of BHX

One parked Dreamliner

PIA Boeing 777-300 AP-BID still the largest type currently operating out of BHX and this was the first of two that were parked on the other side of the terminal the emirates one we will see later. Sorry about the quality of these shots that were taken through the fence!

Nice shot here of AP-BID and Easyjet A319 G-EZFF.This also shows just how close to built up areas BHX actually is! Something you will see a lot through these pictures.

Ryanair 737-800 EI-DLO with its dig at Easyjet on the side!

Air France A318 F-GUGD just after take off

Turning out to be a busy evening!

As the sun set it started to give up some cool shots! Hope you agree.
Here is Flybe Embraer ERJ-170 G-FBEJ on take off.

This I really liked of the One of the West Midlands Police Helicopters landing just as the sun was setting

Although the sun was down still they stacked to land!

By now it was getting quite dark. Here we have Emirates Boeing 777 the 1000th built A6-EGO and Freebird Airways A320 TC-FBJ.

With the light almost gone still a very busy scene on the Cargo side of the airfield.

So to the last pic I managed in almost zero light was this KLM 737-800 nice shot to end on.

Hope you enjoyed looking through these pics from Birmingham Airport very much an up and coming airport.
Thanks for looking
Lee.
