I've finally uploaded a collection of photos to my website taken while on a holiday on Barbados of Concorde G-BOAE that is housed to the east of the Grantley Adams International airport.
They call it "The Concorde Experience" and I thought what they've done to display the aircraft was fantastic. It's housed in it's own air-conditioned hangar with, in addition, it's own supplementary air conditioning unit, so they told me, to keep the on-board leather seats in good condition for as long as possible.
I arrived first thing in the morning and had the whole aircraft, and a rather attractive young lady tour guide, all to myself for a whole hour before anybody else showed up. A 10 minute audio-visual presentation was projected onto the fuselage to start the experience with an amazing light show. I don't nomally enjoy stuffed and mounted museum exhibits but I certainly enjoyed the whole Concorde experience.
I'm no techy geek so if anybody feels they can add anything to the narratives then please let me know.
I hope you enjoy taking a look....
