Thank you Robert for (understandably) 'belated' August Update.

We are certainly living through the most extraordinary of times.

Looking good, not checked up on it for a while, looks like a boiler would have it running. Shame this virus stuff is damaging all these wonderful projects, the fallout of which will last for many years to come. Anyway enough rambling it looks great!! :)

Many thanks for the September Update, Robert.

The mention of the 'rocking grate' reminds me of the time that myself and a fellow Volunteer spent most of the day, inside the massive firebox of 'Sir Keith Park' (during the Restoration of this Locomotive) installing the component parts of the rocking grate!

October update is now live and can be read here:
http://www.82045.org.uk/news/82045_news-oct20.html

As an aside, my last visit to the Severn Valley Railway & my first ever time of seeing 82045 was on Saturday 29th October 2011. I have not been since. :( :(

My photos from that day can be viewed at:

Thank you for the December Update, Robert and also for keeping us up to date throughout this extremely difficult Year.

Thanks also for your Seasonal Wishes and I sincerely wish you the same. Chris's final words in the Update ("Stay safe and stay sane") I thought were very appropriate, given the circumstances this year!!!

Happy Christmas and a better 2021 'to all our readers'.

Thanks for the January 2021 Update, Robert. Good to see that some progress is still able to be made, albeit at a reduced level, due to the current restrictions.

(The name on the Photograph of the 2 Locos at Bath Green Park looks like TERRY ONSLOW).

Thank you for the March Update, Robert.

I always admire the skill and expertise required by the forging/shaping procedure (most of it 'by eye') as shown in the photos of this being carried out on the Coupling Rods. Don't get the chance to see this very often these days (apart from on the occasional Fred Dibnah programmes, when he visits some of the Foundries).
