I have been a busy boy and got my software up and running again so i have been able to work on VX770 and get it up to scratch as i havent worked on it for ages i decided to do flight sim 2004 as it is way easier to work with once the model is finished i will probably hae a crack at FSX again
anyway this is what she looks like now

one of the best things is what i have found in the reserch i have had to do which has all gone to shape it correctly;
the nose leg is smaller
the airframe is very slightly shorter
the wing has elevators and airelons (pls for give the spelling)not elevons
the airbrakes are 'backwards' and has two at the bottom not one
and many many more diferances between VX770 and B1 vulcans

Hey, Dougs :D

It's so odd to see a Vulcan with such a
different wing configuration and other
differences from what we're so used to
seeing!

Even though I'm no flight simmer, I still
appreciate all the work you've done to
get this prototype just right :ymapplause:

Why not post-up a vid of her flying in sim
so we can get the full effect?

Doesn't need to be Fancy or anything.....

Please???????

I think it would be Great!

Now I remember.....

Didn't the aircraft exceed specified
limits in some way at the hands of
a test pilot?

Wouldn't be the first time!

That was the original story ..... However turns out it was not the pilots fault and the wing had a known flaw that had been previously reported took 50+years for the truth to come out tho

It isn't all out even now. RAE Farnborough produced an analysis of the wreckage which was never released, and has completely disappeared.

Presumably because it didn't say what was politically correct.

Even now, there are those who choose to repeat one submission to the BoI report as if it were the official conclusion, which it isn't.

The home movies taken at Syerston were part of the RAE analysis, but were never made public at the time. It was only when the video appeared on You-tube that people started to realise that the accepted wisdom and the pictures just didn't match.

I have written quite a lot on the subject, and published some of it in the MaPS newsletter about a year ago. One day I will get round to collating it all and publishing it in full.
