Virtual XM655 page

Postby Crafty » Fri Dec 04, 2015 4:23 pm

Hello, as a huge fan of flightsims and the Vulcan (plus many other aircraft) I am creating a page dedicated to XM655 on Facebook. I will not be able to base the virtual XM655 at Wellesbourne Mountford due to a lack of decent scenery, but I am working on finding a new base for her.

You might be thinking that the real world XM655 just does fast-taxis and maybe you are thinking what can we do on our page? Well we too will be taking part in fast-taxis but we will also be working up to a full display routine in FSX.

There will also be photos taken of virtual XM655 and the places that we visit, there will also be photos of any of the real world Vulcan that I visit during the airshow season next year.

I will link the Facebook page on here as soon as I have it created.

Thanks,
Crafty

Have you thought it might be a good idea to ask 655MaPS (and perhaps also the aircraft owner) if they have any objection before you go ahead?

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

All though my version of XM655 would be on FSX I would love to be involved in spreading the word of XM655.
I will make enquiries to the owners over the weekend.

By the way is there anyone who has created an up to date repaint of XM655? I have XM655 but it doesn't have any of the squadron crests and the logo on the side of the nose.

Okay I have messaged the guys who run www.xm655.com so I hope to hear from them soon. Plus I have now got the Wellesbourne Mount airport scenery installed and I have done a practise run just to check everything is installed correctly. All I can say is man that runway is short ;)

Now I hope to get the correct texture sorted out (with correct markings)
