Just got an email from Pete with two shots of operations on USS WASP!

He is waiting to fly CF02 today and is currently waiting on the mountain of paperwork to be processed!

Any word on when they might try a
REAL carrier landing?

I would think you Brits would be
REALLY interested in THAT!

It's the thing I am most anxious to
see on video!!!!!!

Looking at those pics, it is easy to imagine the F35 becoming as iconic as the SR71 in years to come. :)

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

Well our first one has rolled off the production line, it's a "B" Model which we were committed to buy before the change to the more capable "C" Model.

First UK "B" model [ZM135] has flown .

Stll ugly in my eyes and I still prefer the "C" model ;)

Do we know, yet, if we're going to get to name it something different? I just think "Lightning II" is a touch unoriginal, but, I suppose, it DOES tie in with our weather related theme :D
