An appropriate sentiment beautifully expressed. Thanks, Stigish.

That poem is very fitting!

By 'Bluebottle' on Pprune.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep,
I may not now be in the group,
......But I am the diamond in the loop,
I am the white the red and blue,
......Entwined within the corkscrew,
When you look to the heavens above,
I am the arrow through the heart of love,
I am the smoke across the sky,
I am the reason why we fly,
I am the Hawk's engine roar,
I was proud to fly Red four

Wonderful prose.

Well done that man.

Copied from Dunsfold's website

"Wings & Wheels Update
Monday, 22 August 2011

Following the tragic death of Flt Lt Jon Egging, the Red Arrows have been temporarily grounded, pending an investigation into the incident, until their safety can be assured.

Wings & Wheels will go ahead as planned on 28th and 29th August. Our Wings line-up will be updated daily in the run-up to the Show and can be viewed on our website http://www.wingsandwheels.net.

We offer our deepest condolences to the Red Arrows and the family and friends of Flt Lt Jon Egging at this sad time.

Wings & Wheels will be holding a 1 minute silence at the start of the air displays on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th August in tribute to Flt Lt Jon Egging. Two Books of Condolence for people to express their sympathy and record memories will also be available. The Books will be available for signing at the Show throughout the weekend until 6pm on Monday 29th August, after which they will be passed to Flt Lt Egging's family.

We are also aware of a campaign by the public to wear an item of red at the Show as a mark of respect and support for the Red Arrows, which we fully support."

I thought the same. There are a lot of "possibly's, seems to be's and believed to be's" etc in the press.

Obviously the cause should be found to help prevent this happening again but it won't turn the clock back. I still feel immensly sad for Jon and his family/colleagues.

I couldn't agree more, I shall wait for the official enquiry to publish its findings!

I personally don't think so but I have to ask, 'Do you get white strobes on the underside of military A/c or indeed any A/c?'

St. Nick, ALL strobes flash white in the air when working properly, they flash red on the ground to protect the eyes of the groundcrew! ;)

IT'S a STROBE!

Not an expert on this, seen enough of my shots to see that it looks like a strobe, very disappointed that the press are running this, like anything the press print before they know all the facts.
