It's the first wedding I have ever been too (unless you count the one I sang at with the school choir which I don't as as we didn't stay for the whole thing). And I've never been a bridesmaid. Not looking forward to wearing a dress though but I trust her judgement She's promised me it's not pink

Hatching a plan to do the Monday after RIAT!

After a hiatus of sparrows for the last 5 years or so we must have a flock of about 50 on our front lawn.

As birds, Sparrows are highly under-rated....

It's because they're not BIG or brightly
colo(u)red or great singers.....

HOWEVER::::::::

I have quite a few who live and reproduce
in my front hedges, and they're just a joy
to have around

They are bold and unafraid of me or the
mailman and come and go like crazy...

When my neighbo(u)rs complain I haven't
trimmed the hedges, I just tell them I can't
because of the Sparrows

We used to have loads even when there were reports that they were becoming scarce. Then around 5 years ago they all but vanished & we only ever 2-3 at a time but in the last few days we've had dozens of them. This year has been quite good for small birds we used to get either/or certain varieties but this year we've been seeing them in much larger numbers and together.
