about this effort. Were they Amazed? Were
they ANGRY? Did they somehow Admire what
we were doing?

The spin off to this fantastic effort was the birth of affordable 'mass' airline travel, certainly in the UK.

Great movie. Great achievement. Somehow a very typically British thing to do to help our former enemies by a great humanitarian action. Nice of the "colonials" to join in too though, thanks Yanks.

Well they can't have been that chuffed, because they (vice the East Germans) then built the Berlin Wall. Although that was a few years later.

And the story of Volkswagen saved by a British officer is another good story.
