'Help for Heroes' Steam Special: Thursday 1st March

A Reminder that this Excursion is on 1st March, hauled by Locomotive 6024 'King Edward I', from London Paddington to Cardiff. All parties (The 6024 Locomotive Society; Network Rail; 'Bells & Two-Tones' water suppliers and the Train Operating Company, DB Schenker) are waiving their usual charges for this occasion and ALL profits will be donated to 'Help for Heroes', along with all the proceeds from the 'on-train' activities. I hope to post the final details of the 'Route and Timings' as soon as they are announced.

This will be one of 6024's last trips before withdrawal to await its '10 year overhaul'.
