Just got back from Perth aviation Museum

Postby Dangerousdave » Sun Jan 04, 2009 8:46 pm

And I got to sit in their Lancaster! :D I was rather pleased! I have loads of pics of me in it and also loads of other aircraft there too.
There are a few of it on here:

There is also me stood next to the gyro I flew in and one of me taken a few years ago of Ken Wallis with his toys. The other ones are mainly from RAF Digby. I think I have a few on flickr.com too if you search for prepared2bescared.

I had a photo of me taken in XM594 (Vulcan) at Newark a long time ago now but can't find it. Most of the Perth museum pics are on my facebook page (I think there are over 60) but they take to long to upload to photobucket so if you want to see them then you'll have to find me on Facebook.
I created the group David Thomas XH558 Vulcan Display Pilot Appreciation Society ( or something similar sounding), so if you look at that group you will find me on it and can add me to see the pics.

As Bovril possibly hinted at he and I were at the Museum in December '08, well worth a visit if you are in the area and very easy to get to by train, then a 5/10min walk. Cost was about £4.50 each. I was pleased and surprised to see that the Lanc was built at the old Austen Motor Co. works in Longbridge Nr Birmingham - my late father was there during that time :)
