I'll give him a ring in a while and see what he feels about the name! ;)

I agree that the name should remain
as it was..........

Some day this will all be behind us despite
the best efforts of those who just can't
seem to get past it.

The dog's name is the dog's name.

I can see both sides of the argument here. They don't want to offend their largest audience ie the US public, or a very large section of it, and if all they end up changing is the dog's name then I could go along with that.

Even the original was full of inaccuracies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dambusters_(film_remake)#Remake

As I posted on another, Lancaster-related topic, it could be much worse. ;)

(Note to self - use more Smileys like Helen ;) then people will know my tongue is firmly in my cheek). =))

I think a majority of the US moviegoers
would buy a ticket just to hear the word
enunciated!

......but that's only me.........

At SOME POINT people have to get OVER it!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Perhaps they ought to make two versions?

This what is now being called in my country "The
Tyranny of the Left".

Only the Brits can say that word without an offensive tone attached.
They seem to want to change the dog to a YORKIE too. WTF is that about?????????????

Did the person who named the dog have a cold? ;)

Actually Ray would have been quite happy to call Digger Nigger but I think there was a bit of resistance from Doris...........

You could throw any food at him and he'd woof it down (no pun intended) but pickled onions would be in his mouth and out again almost instantly.

We loved feeding him Brussel sprouts at Christmas......God would they make him stink!!! =)) =)) =)) =)) =)) =))
