Don't know if this is anywhere on the forum.

One has to wonder what a state the coalition are getting us into, I know this project was started by labour, but come on, whats happening to our defence spending. As it stands we couldn't defend our shores or our interest abroad should they be challenged. I'm all for austerity measures, at this moment in time we are been pushed to our limits, were at breaking point on finance, most of us on this site will feel the pinch, the bigwigs in Westminster don't give a flying fig. Why do they think that if you work you don't need money to spend, why do they think that if you fall on hard times you shouldn't get benefits, I despair at the whole ethos of this government. I have a number of friends who were, and I emphasise were, conservatives lifelong, now would't vote them in again. The problem we have is this, what is a credible alternative. Rant done.
