Identification help?

Postby Mayfly » Sat Jul 21, 2012 8:48 pm

Not sure what it was that flew over today - a light a/c of some sort.

Very long cockpit area in relation to the over all length, swept back wings with fairly tall winglets. Can't remember the tail section but it wasn't the standard design in fact I would say the a/c was almost tail less.

It was white which would indicate to me it was of composite material and sounded like the typical sewing machine!! :p

Any ideas - never seen one before.

I would guess that it was one of Burt Rutans designs!

How the hell would you know what a sewing machine sounds like? :-o

Yes that looks like it, it was shifting and appeared to be very agile.

They are very agile and very small so they do look like thay are moving quickly! :D

Not sure how many are still in this country, not seen any for a while now, they are made from fibreglass and I think they were available as kits! ;)
