Got a bit of an edge because I'm not shy and I've worked on a few historic types over the years (even got to ground run a couple of them too. So:
Bristol Freighter
Dakota
T11 Vampire
Fb5 Vampire
Harvard
P51D Mustang
Devon
Grumman TBF Avenger
Canberra (Aussie built one)
Tiger Moth
Neptune
Auster

And before 9/11 ended the practice I've even been on the flight decks of a 747 (somewhere over Canada on the way from the UK home to NZ via LA) and a 737 in flight. (737 was cool as I got to stay in the jump seat through to landing!) I knew having a PPL would come in handy for more than flying Cherokees!

So going on that logic, I'll probably never sit in a cockpit :)) :))

Go to elvington, ask nicely.......

Iv'e only sat in a few (being none RAF)

* Dakota DC3 :-)
* Tornado F3
* Hawk (100sqn)
* Hawk (Red arrow)
* Merlin
* Chinook
* Puma
* Tucano (Flew in that one.... Never again!!!) never trust friends!!!!!!
* Nimrod
* Lightning
* Harrier GR3
* Halifax.....
* Bucaneer
* Hunter
* Victor
* Jet Provost
* Typhoon :)

Think thats all of it.... won't be any more RAF planes going on there as both friends are now civilian...

I actually don't want to sit anything :D makes me nervous for some reason.

Anyway I've done a Dak now :D even if it wasn't the cockpit (it was roped off), so even though my total is still 0, it doesn't bother me :D

Only time to be nervous is when the ground cre have you climbing all over live seats to get in.... oh then tell you not to touch anything!

The typhoon was lit up like blackpool... was great but i wanted to start pressing buttons..

seriously, if you get to elvington, just ask them. the only ones they can't do anything with are the ones they don't own (lightning) the ones that still have RAF connections (nimrod) and the Halifax (because thats kinda special and fragile)
