Bird strikes

Postby Marmite » Fri Jan 08, 2010 4:29 pm

Hi

Another question for you aviation buffs! again for a colleague, she is trying to find out information on bird migration around the world, especially anything that would affect airports (civil or military) - can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

:)

A Google search for:

"Airports Bird Migration" tuned up scores
of sites dealing with this issue. Here's
just one:

http://www.crittercontrol.com/facts/animals/birdsatairports.html

Didn't bother to look for one with a worldwide
perspective, but I'm certain there have to be
at least a few!

Suggest your colleague starts with the RSPB.

TSR-2 simply got the first 3 right. ”

I suggest your colleague starts with Capt. Chesley B. Sullenberger - he probably has an opinion on this. :))

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.
