What a shame it wasn't named the Arse probe! :ymapplause:

I think the future astronauts may get a little dizzy after seperation from the solid rocket stage though.....

amazing! VERY impressive machine :ymapplause:

however, there was a Murkin politician on the news last night (didn't catch his name, sorry Danf) who said that it was more than likely that the Presidential Committee would recommend the Ares programme be terminated for budget reasons. the news item 'signed off' with the line "what has proved to be a successful FIRST flight of the Ares could very well be the LAST"

Reports of the Ares's Death are Greatly Exaggerated
and Premature. Congressmen and Senators from the
states where affected jobs are located have yet to
chime in. There are also charges of bias regarding
the commission that recently evaluated the program
-- potentially disgruntled former NASA people.....
