QE-Class Carriers::::::::::

Postby Dan4th » Sat Jun 27, 2009 8:48 pm

Just ran across this.....

VERY impressive to say the least!

Anyone know the timeframe for launch/
sea trials/in-service???????????????

Also, who's building it/them?

Well! Certainly TAKES them long enough, eh?

Same thing over here these days. Takes forever
to get anything done!

Nice looking ships, though, and worlds ahead of
what they're replacing!

Thanks, Mackrick....

nice clip Danf - well sniffed-out :ymapplause:

about time we had some 'proper' carriers - as long as Whitehall don't canx them at the eleventh hour!

Yes, just as the 50-ton(ne) cherry is being
ever-so-carefully lowered into place, the
phone rings and it's Whitehall!

quite - but the 'phone won't ring until:

a) the cherry has been paid for

b) several parliamentary committees have met to ensure that the maximum amount of money has been wasted on said cherry

c) another committee has written a report to convince the British tax-payer that the cherry wasn't required in the first place anyway

Even allowing for delays, we'll still have the carriers before we have any aircraft for them... :(

May have to start polishing those Harriers sat in a South West field!
