A little too sinister for my tastes, but I can appreciate the talent it took to do it.
In memory of a very dear friend - Mike Pearson

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

I used to have a few of his posters when I was a student (as you do). All a bit weird and sci fi but amazing nevertheless.

[boastful mode]well, having stood beneath Concorde on numerous occasions when she was air-started for a JFK flight,...[/boastful mode]

...that image is VERY appropriate!

with no APU fitted, all Concorde's flying control surfaces would be completely inactive, until the Palouste was plugged in and the engines started. her HUGE elevons would initially be 'hanging down', and her rudder 'flopped' to one side - as soon as Olympus power was applied, everything would immediately spring to life - it really felt as is some prehistoric dragon ha been awoken from a snooze!

incredible - especially when mixed with that unmistakable screech of the Palouste
