And I was doing the same, the only Spifires I recognise are the late ones, different noise , and thats about it !

I just heard 558 on the scanner, talking to something like 259.something something something, I didn't catch the whole number. Don't know which frequency that is or why I have it stored though but it must have been important for me to have physically typed it in and saved it at some point .

Photo recon Spitfire yesterday at Spalding Station.


XH558 was over Spalding again today between 1445 & 1500.
No sight of it from me, even though I was there .
A post on Facebook from a friend who lives in Spalding posted a couple of pictures.

I was going to say she was over Spalding again - I didn't see her as she over flew Sleaford today.

Edited to change type of Helicopter. It was not all yellow.

2 tail chasing Typhoons over Chain Bridge Forge at about 12:40 today.

Had a twin prop LWP [Little White Plane] flying a grid pattern over Bicester most of the afternoon today .
Possibly Google taking shots to update Google Earth/Maps

Hurricane Mk.IIc, PZ865 over my garden at 1521 today.
