I think the word 'repositioned' means during the CWJ day and not before it's begun...

I have been known to be wrong tho' :))

I took it in the same way Helen did .... hope you are right MF - my first reaction was that it would have been a shame for viewing the other aircraft if you were wrong ;)

Well I have since read on tvoc forum that PA28 thinks that's what will happen too.

Should be fun watching all the trade stalls and cars get shifted back especially as you always get 1 stubborn git who wont :))

Now 558 is confirmed, it will be mayhem.

I have heard a few people say similar, they think the rise in numbers of the crowd could spoil the unique feeling of the CWJ Day. I won't be there so matters little to me but would be interested in thoughts after the event.

First post for me, so Hi everyone! (I'll post on the new members thread in a while)

I'm planning on making the trip, but the weather looks dodgy to say the least. As I'll primarily be coming down for the photography opportunity I'm going to reserve the right to bail on the day, unless you can convince me that it'll all be worthwhile whatever the weather! :D

I've only just got back into all things aviation as a hobby after a thirty year layoff, so haven't been to Bruntingthorpe before. At the last airshow I attended, most of these planes would have been operational! :D

Hi can someone please confirm what's happening with the crowd lines? And what happens to the stalls that are already set up? Thanks

It'll be where it always was, for the duration of the show. The stalls are being set further back anyway, so, prior to 558's departure, the crowd line will be moved back to the appropriate distance

If anyone else is going for 558's arrival , I shall be here at the old east mushrooming fields [after a bite to eat at the Plough] as the wind is expected to be a westerly ;)

When you say stalls being moved back, where too? And will they still be facing the runway? Cheers

Same place, I expect. Just a bit more "inland" if you like. The usual car park will be smaller but we're using the area behind the guppy for parking too

VTTS Club stand is being set up on Saturday afternoon, as is the Vulcan Village.
