A fuel contamination issue (ie lots of water) was found in the stbd main tAnk of the sea vixen, so if we can filter it out and then bleed the engine of it you never know we might have it fire up

Pick up a can of Wynns Dry Fuel from the local motor factors! Actually, I'd make it two :))

I'm aiming to be there anyway. Leave the kiddiewinks at home for me though, they're only 11months old!

Bruntingthorpe's website says: "PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NIMROD CURRENTLY REMAINS AN MOD ASSET AND AS A RESULT IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT ON THE OPEN DAY. IT WILL HOWEVER BE ON STATIC DISPLAY."

Is that right or is that old news that hasn't been updated?

I think its old since they have already taxied her since she was delivered :-?
Only other thing i can think of is that they have there wires crossed and actually mean the VC10s [which dont have engines anyway] ;)

For lots of reasons, the Nimrod not running is very bad news.

Was a very good day!

Lightning run was fantastic, Tina stayed on the ground but looked excellent and I've come away with loads of photos, a few videos and sunburn!!!

Oh, and a LPG mug :D

Excellent day - nice to see everyone again. I spent the day bothering Naddy, I'm afraid. As IanM says, I look a bit like a matchstick. Very good turnout and all the runs were good, especially the Lightning (but I'm a bit biased; well done Andy et al.).
No pictures, but Naddy was saying that the ones with long lenses were making up for deficiencies in other areas. I might have mentioned that I had a tripod, but no camera :ymblushing: I thought I'd better say it before Naddy blows it out of all proportion - and I don't mean that the way some of you might be thinking. :p
