Metheringham Control Tower

Metheringham Control Tower

Last Monday whilst driving around I had a look at Metheringham.
The control tower looks as if it is being demolished. Is that so or has it just collapsed?
I'd rather be skiing

Tim [Helicopter Heroes fame] has just got planning permission to rebuild and live in it. I'm hoping he will write an article for me for the ZN Newsletter September issue.

Very fond memories of Robbie Gilvary - DTs 1st Vulcan Captain who taught DT all he knew.

Is it more of a reconstruction than a restoration? Doesn't look much to work on!

I would say very much so! I haven't seen it close up but Tim has said I can take some photos, I know he's done a lot of work outside whilst waiting for the plans to go through.

I only photographed it from the runway/road, so a bit distant.
