Cleethorpes Airshow this weekend

The flying will commence from 11:30am and will continue up-until 4:30pm each day, with an interval for lunch. Don't miss The world's last flying Vulcan Bomber! This is on the Saturday only, when it will perform a flypast. Furthermore, the Lancaster Bomber will be attending on the Sunday only.

Sally B is staying over at Humberside airport on Saturday night so that might be a photo op for some one local

My best mate has literally just bought a 6 berth static caravan at Cleethorpes and has invited us to stay over the weekend.
Guess who is having bloody car problems?

Take note of what Ian remarked. XH558 is now appearing at Sunderland on Sunday.
It makes sense that she now does her flypast at Cleethorpes on the Sunday also.

I am sure there are trains that you could go on...................

or, we may be able to collect you if you dont mind going on Sunday only.......there is a good chance we will be

We are looking into the train possibility
Hopefully it will be dry enough for me to change the CV joints on the car between now and the weekend.

I went today, i was not impressed at all by the long waits in between the few aircraft or the 2 HOUR "lunch break". But anyway:

First up was the Hurricane it was supposed to be the red devils but the tide had not gone out far enough for them to land.


After waiting 20 minutes it was the gnats turn and it was a very good display (unlike my picture)


Then after waiting 2 hours we had the BBMF spitfire and hurricane displaying.




But as soon as they left, we had abit of a problem:


We waited for a while but they kept saying the aircraft where on "standby" but we decided to go to humberside to see if sally b was going to come.

By the time we had arrived she was already down



We did get a surprise!


I'm not sure if they continued the display after we left but like most people we did not want to wait!
