Vulcan and others at Lt Gransden 25-8-2013 - more pics added

Having seen 558 for the second time this year on Friday , I made it a third show just 2 days later, Little Gransden was superb as usual, 558 was one of many highlights, 3 passes - one very close and also a distraction during the anson display as she held circling out to the west (seemed a bit odd, I thought they would have asked the Anson to hold but never mind, I suppose there was a good reason). The sun came out for part of the time so i got some well lit shots.
The display was accompanied by music - Holst's Mars - the bringer of war, from the planets suite- much as I like this piece of music I thought the vulcan was a deterrent to and not a BRINGER of war! - maybe i'm being picky! anyway on with the photos and i'll post some of the other participants later when I have edited them...









this one is barely cropped and taken at 130mm zoom - that's how close she was!






and finally for all those who have yearned to see a white vulcan flying, I couldn't resist doing this.....




I hope this won't be the last time i see her fly

Last sunday I attended the excellent show at Little Gransden, as usual it was an excellent day and congratulations to the organisers for getting the show on despite the deluge on Saturday and into the early hours of sunday. It did brighten up although there was broken cloud for much of the day but at least it stayed dry. Here's a selection of my many photos from the day, I have already posted vulcan photos above so I wont repeat them...
