Officially gates have always opened at 8 but more often than not they open them early - Last year I got there at 7.40 and was parked 3 rows back , so today I got there at 7!!

The gates didn't open until 9 and 8.45 the police moved us all on as it's a clearway so said you can't park on the grass verge. So we all drove round the block and started the queue again!

When I did get in and asked what was going on I was told they have no medical cover until 9 and the police wouldn't let them open the gates.

Tomorrow the the Gates will not open until 9 again, so if you turn up early be prepared to be moved on!!

I will aim to get there 9 -9.15 how long it will take to get in is any bodies guess!!!


Edit: UKar reports that the police when leaving at 17.15 were adamant that the gates will not be open until 9 and they will not allow queueing on the road or grass verges!

It was just on Airshow FM that they were NOT opening till 9am.

I've just been reading a thread on fighter control can't believe some people didn't listen to what happened yesterday and still think they are entitled to queue up at 7am
What's the point??
They clearly knew about what happened yesterday, or they wouldn't have posted on that thread.

Oh well, I've been up since 6, iced my cupcakes, made mum's sandwiches, now waiting for the hot water to hear up so I can do the washing up
