new photobucket site has locked up on me

As the title says, I have a problem! I logged on to Photobucket today and found they have a new site, once I had logged in the whole thing just locked up and is still the same 3 re-boots and 2 hours later. I can't see how to log off ,cant access the help button (or anything else for that matter) and there is an alledged option to revert to the old site but that doesnrt work either!

Has anyone else used the new site and if so was it without these problems? Just to make matters worse, the navigation options dont seem to cover 'my albums' any more

any advice welcome, thanks

I reverted, successfully, to the old site. The new one is AWFUL and I told them so when they asked why I wanted to revert.

The option to do so WAS on the header of the new site. This was a couple of weeks ago though

it's there but it won't work , the whole thing has been locked up for about 2 hours - P8ssed off with it to put it mildly

Have you tried just shutting everything
down, counting to 10 slowly, and going
back on?

That sometimes has worked for me but
requires a little breath holding.....

Just logged on, clicked on a few pics in my library and logged off again with no problems.

It worked for me but I reverted to the old site as I uploaded several scans to the new site and they promptly disappeared. I informed Photobucket but didn't get a reply.

I don't know what benefit the new site has over the existing version but the current one suits me fine.

I counted many many times, sshut down and re booted twice, watched the grand prix, walked the dog, cooked tea and it was still hanging! it finally cleared after about 4 hours! have managed to upload now and have selected the revert to old site option with some critical feedback!

I would guess that the changes will be forced upon us at some point. HOPEFULLY it'll be A LOT less glitchy by then!

When it opens up, the url indicates it is currently still a "beta" version. If they don't improve it dramatically, I think they will lose a lot of trade.

If you select to go back to the old version, it says you can only do it "for now", so I guess it will eventually be forced on all users, probably whether it is really fixed or not.

I agree with Dave..switch back to the old Photobucket format....it's trouble free.

I have scanned and uploaded over 8000 images to Photobucket-Pro but they still keep asking me to change to the new format where I have great difficulty understanding where the albums have gone. They are there but not in any order that is quickly or easily recogniseable.
I keep telling them that this new version is pants (without response of course) but in the meantime I have copied all my images to an external hard drive (over 37,500 jpegs in total) and uploaded most of my important images to Picasa, which I had not used before but which makes my hi-res but grainy scans look quite good, especially in full screen mode, on my old HANNspree monitor..
