OOooo St Mawgan air days - used to go every year ... much better than Culdrose :D

Even flew from the 1986 St Mawgan air day in Concorde as part of the air day itself :p

Shame its all closed now - we are just left with Culdrose - and that's getting really boring ... it'd be nice to see XH558 down here ....last time I saw her fly was at Culdrose many years ago ;) :D

Shame there's no sound track but here's a few memories of what flew from St Mawgan over the years ...

Anyone remember the Green and Brown Nimrods ?

Only one of each.. not sure if it was a paint 'cock up' or deliberate :-o but it happened. Can't find any links to them yet - working on it.

Seem to recall that one of the AEW3's was a greenish colour. Used to see them around HMS Deadalus from time to time, flying up and down the Solent.

This site has loads of Nimrod piccies: http://www.targetlock.org.uk/nimrod/index.html You may find the ones you're after here.

Cheers,
