My understanding is that the video is the first component of a coordinated fundraising campaign, of which more details will be released on Friday (taken from PA28 over on VTS forum).

I found the film slick and very well produced, but the proof of it's success will only come in terms of sponsorship secured. Personally, I'd like to see a shorter, punchier version to complement this one and for use in different circumstances. Maybe that's in the pipeline.

As for using Cosford, maybe they were the only organisers willing to admit to the so-called Vulcan Effect impacting on their gate numbers? It was essential to the marketing message IMO to have that sort of specific endorsement, not just use statistics.

agreed it could be shorter and punchier, but.............

i was aware of it being in the pipeline a few weeks ago. the intention, as i understand it, was to have a DVD as part of packs sent out to potential sponsors, in conjunction with the 'revamped' Education Packs.

as far as I'm aware, it was Michael Trotter and Sean Maffett who put it together for this specific purpose.

personally, i believe it to be just the right tone and the right length for its intended purpose - let's hope is has the desired effect!

I agree, SM - I was thinking of a shorter version to complement this one and for use in other situations where the time available to grab and hold the watcher's attention is more constrained.
