Cheers Ron,
Mate I never even considered you as a person to give out unsubstantiated opinion as "pukka gen". :-o
I'd like to go on record to say I never got less than proper gen from you mate and always found your info to be definitely "pukka". ;) Also, I always appreciated your professional approach to discussing engineering of any kind, :ymapplause: unlike some so called mechanical engineers on the project , who had there heads firmly up their own arses. X( Thanks for giving me some credit for an understanding of mechanical engineering beyond my purely "Avionics" title, I hope I adequately returned the favour. :D It is a source of continued regret to me that some really good engineers were lost or driven from the project, no names no pack drill. :(

Even though a mere "Insty"(no such beast :p Instrument folk were proper trained folk)I was well aware of the need to use 603 as an indicator for 558's condition and I have to agree that I have always wondered why it was not chased earlier. Myself and Sad Sam finally got round to drilling a zillion holes for the MA guys to look into last Oct/Nov. That is once this"Insty" bought some proper drills tough enough to go through the skin and do the job :p . =)) =)) =))

Gentlemen,
I hope that those comments are not based on anything I just said to FFM in my last post ? :-o
I stress that I want nothing to do with the "Director Bashing" which some folk seem to relish. As a TVOC employee I will not comment on fellow members of TVOC staff, that would be extremely disloyal at the very least and that I will not be.

I fully support your right to your views and the right to express them and in no way want to influence you at all. But, I don't necessarily share your views so please don't consider any of my posts as support for your comments. In your battle I remain Neutral!

.......... Just to interject.

Can I just point out that this is an open Forum and is in full view of the visiting public/potential club members. Unlike 'T 'other side' where certain topics are closed/non viewable to non club members.

I know many members here - have very strong and deep routed opinions of VTTS and it's organisation/set up/running/management etc... but in a public access forum, this can have a damaging effect.

Playing Devil's Advocate for a minute, surely it's more damaging in the medium and long-term to not confront the apparent issues? Personally, I was brought up to question and challenge at every opportunity.

Furthermore, as was recently posted on t'other side (and I paraphrase) - there's absolutely no evidence that the expressed views of a small group of malcontents has had any impact at all on VTTS's ability to secure a sponsor / funding. Prospective sponsors are more than capable of making up their own minds.

Anyway, DA mode off... ;) :D

Free speech :)) You have got it already, you use it frequently, I have defended your right to it (boy sometimes thats a tough one), so why do you assume that any reply I make is trying to muzzle you.
All I ask is don't link me to your opinions thanks! [-x

I'll let you know soon enough if I agree or disagree, but I'll still say you have a right to air your opinions right or wrong. B-)

That’s what I like over here, the freedom to speak freely about the right to free speech and being allowed the free speech to speak freely. But as has been said elsewhere, that right to speak freely does not on the whole damage a cause, neither does what those who exercise the right to speak freely against those who speak freely on the opposite side of the discussion damage the cause. :D

But conversely both parties who exercise their right to speak freely, but with opposite views could damage a cause but as we are all adult enough to read and evaluate all this free speech we can decide whether or not to support or not support a cause, which we would do with or without all this right to free speech. ;)

Finally do we have the right to free reading because if nobody exercises their right to free reading those who exercise their right to free speech won’t be heard ipso facto – no harm no foul. B-)
