Been at BAM today to suss things out a bit more. Have new contacts for Ian Homer to get hold of this comming week and duly sent via PM and EMails accordingly. New appeal posters duly posted .

Looking good so far - for a Club prescence on weekend of 6/7th March. Have sent PM's and Emails to local Club members for help on that day... the more the merrier are invited to help out. The Bournemouth Echo will announcing it very soon.

The ball is firmly in Ians court.. he has all the details/dates/requirements etc. All I need is troops on the ground who will willingly - help out on those dates.

I had a chat with a mutual friend and what he had to say has somewhat changed my view point on things. he is that fed up he has completely removed himself from all things Vulcan. It is a terrible shame when things come to that.

In Ian's defence, he has been somewhat buried under appeal-related stuff recently! Bashing people working their wotsits off really doesn't help .

For future reference, Trust-organised presentations should be arranged via Miriam Tong, who books all the speakers. If one is arranging a Club regional event, then the contacts are either Sarah Abbott (V-girl on here) or me!

In terms of publicity, once details are finalised, then the Club will step in and publicise via the forum and by Sarah and I emailing all the members within the South / South West area with details of the event. We cannot send out contact information to allow anyone else to do this for data protection reasons.

Not wishing to be picky but had the appeal been started during the summer when you had the publics attention then this Ian would'nt be working his nuts off on another "give us money or we're dooomed" appeal. That way things like Mr Pudgywhatsits talk would be sorted and you would have less p****d off members.

Pick away! Just so long as you separate Trust and Club...

In this instance, Ian (with Club Committee hat on) has been trying to help Pudgyknees arrange something, whilst being pulled from piller to post by the company to whom he is contracted to work - namely the Trust... There are only so many hours in the day and only a small number of people beavering away - they have to prioritise, unpallatable as that may be for some.

As for the Summer appeal, no doubt the Trust wish they could use hindsight as a management tool...
