Assuming that the 'G' meters were seemingly ok with that take-off ..

Can we expect something similar at future displays this years - or is that a Kev Rumens 'Signature dish' .. for our delictation ?

It certainly had the desired affect of getting 558 noticed on Sunday !!!!

:D :D

It's a great clip, but is is just me who's a bit disappointed by the sound on it? It doesn't really reflect how it sounded from the crowd line. The same was true of the Vulcan Year DVD, I thought.

Hypothetically speaking................ ;)

What is stopping Kev from NOT levelling the wings after that take off, and carrying on with the +ve g 'wingover' to make the wings level - by doing a roll :-o . Would the a/c lose too much height and therefore be a somewhat dangerous manoevere (polite version). Or, is it simply that the DA would be denied if they even proposed such a move [-x . I suppose they could 'try' it on the DA flight. \:D/

Its not like the aircraft CAN'T do it - it was done plenty of times in service. And a 1g roll theoretically shouldn't overstress the airframe or make the g meter go off the chart.

I'm sure someone wil know the answer to this. Either way, it was a stunner of a take-off and wing over :ymapplause: . Just wish I could have been there. Hey, there's always next year. B-)
