now at a hefty 75%.....£300 grand.

I for one will be fettleing my new camera in readiness for her shows....
what a superb effort by the fundraisers, maintainance team & all
the folks who gave yet more money to her final year...or is it....?

On the way home LincsFM said that 558 funding had been achieved for flying this year, I think they got that wrong as the web site indicates they did not reach the £400,000 requirement for end of Dec, by 38,575 from tonight's figures, which was just for the maintenance and are only just reminding everyone of the next target for Jan to Mar of £250,000, although shouldn't that figure have the £38,575 added or is that shortfall once again to be conveniently forgotten, or maybe the web site has not been updated yet with all the income and they did actually reach the target.

Once again though my mathematics skills and mental understanding of complicated financial dealings are not exactly overwhelming which is an historic fact that has been noted before

Good news but I feel it's a shame the original press release was worded in such away that gave the media the impression this year would be her last. I have lost count of the number of people that keep telling me this year is definitely her last.

So IF the strengthening modification by modern methods is found to feasable and affordable and accepted by the CAA and implemented, how much more life will that allow the airframe?

558 was on Look North last night they filmed the engine runs and apparently it was hinted that could be movement on the engine life - That's from another forum by the way, as I didn't bother watching the report.
