VIDEO: Sparks fly in minor A380 tyre-burst incident
Video footage has emerged of the moment that a Qantas Airbus A380 suffered a tyre-burst on landing at Sydney.
The aircraft had reportedly been arriving from Singapore yesterday as flight QF32, with 244 occupants. Two left-hand main-gear tyres are said to have burst.
Video images of the night landing were being streamed from the aircraft's tail-mounted camera through the in-flight entertainment system.
They show a spectacular shower of sparks below the left wing, suggesting that the tyre-burst - said to be linked to a brakes issue - had resulted in the undercarriage structure contacting the runway.
The incident, however, was relatively minor and the jet has already reportedly been put back into service.

Possibly due to a faulty anti-skid unit!

TSR-2 simply got the first 3 right. ”
