anyway here we are after lots of struggling with the new photobucket site - I can't work out how to generate multiple IMG codes so had to do each one separately:
some biz jets - dropping in over the bridge, the black bird in the pic was accidental!
at around 3pm I decided to head east - to the27 threshold, these were taken from the eastern end , from the Tereze Joanne car park , quite a good spot but probably better if landing from the east as the outbounds would come right to the end and turn on via the holding point - but the head on shots made for a bit of variety and a nice city backdrop (or excel centre in one) on some of them:

while I was at the eatsern end couple of met police turned up at one point and had a chat, just checked i.d. and then asked about my hobby - I pointed out that freezing anything that could drop off was not normally part of the enjoyment, quite friendly and told me a couple of places where I could get a coffee to warm up and also said the airport police might visit as I was close to the flight path, they didn't.
does make me wonder how much longer those Avro rj's have got they must be getting old now
