I agree with you, Pat, that the Britannia was
a fine aircraft, a Great One even.....

But Connie had a much larger impact upon
the world of commercial aviation....

It is just a shame, I'm sure you will agree,
that the Britannia suffered so many delays
in development which lead to so few going
into actual airline service :((

HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the Turboprop Constellation, of which
four were built for the US military, had
been introduced into airline duty, THEN
we might have had a real horserace as
to which one was the better beast :D

Maybe it's better we will never know :-?
